Verb to be is, am, are


When the verbs 'am', 'is', 'are', 'was' & 'were' are used with other verbs, they are called helping verbs. They are used together with the main verb to express action.
Example:    'was talking', 'is running', 'were eating'

am student.
Jennifer is very angry.
The monkeys are friendly.
Peter was here just now.
The policemen were here just now.
